The Garlic Myth, also known as Daniel Roozendaal (1984), is a Utrecht based illustrator and works autonomously whether as an applied freelancer. He successfully graduated in 2009 with a BFA in illustration at HKU in his native city Utrecht. With his graduation project he got nominated for the Piet Bakker award and earned a publication in designer magazine Items.

Roozendaal’s autonomous work characterizes support of commissioned assignments and vice versa in preferred cases. Which is part of his development in purpose and style.
